About me

My name is Carter, a self-taught Canadian photographer inspired by the raw and natural beauty of the outdoors.

I’ve always been drawn to the outdoors - whether that’s exploring the backcountry, hiking through mountain landscapes, or simply spending time by the water.

That connection to nature led me to a deeper passion for wildlife conservation and rehabilitation. Today, I have the privilege of managing Manitoba’s only wildlife veterinary hospital, where I work closely with animals that depend on the same landscapes I love to capture.

Whether it's a -30°C morning or the warm last light before the sun sets, I am drawn to moments in nature that feel still, powerful, and often overlooked. Photography became a way for me to slow down and pay attention to all the details - to document not just what a place looks like, but encompass how it felt to be there.

Every image I create has a story behind it. This project is about the opportunity to share those moments in a tangible way - through premium prints and pieces that bring a sense of the wilderness into everyday spaces.
