During one of our hiking trips in Fernie British Columbia, we took a day trip up to Yoho National Park and spent the day exploring around Emerald Lake. What started off as a bitter cold and rainy day, ended as a calm afternoon. Allowing the clouds to lift slightly and the water to settle and become absolute glass. As we rounded the North Western corner of the trail we tucked through the bush and came up on the waters edge. Turning around revealed this stunning landscape, allowing me to capture this moment. I was very grateful that the conditions changed enough for us to appreciate all Emerald Lakes beauty had to offer.
